Pasteis De Nata (Portugese Custard Tarts)

As I’ve probably mentioned before- I love custard! It’s possibly one of my favourite flavours/ingredient in baking. It is far more versatile than people believe it to be as well. From Creme Anglaise (Egg Custard) to the delicate Creme Patissiere, to your Gran’s thick homemade custard for Sunday dessert. You just can’t beat any of them. Pecan Tassie Bars

If you haven’t manage to guess already from previous bakes, I love using pecans in baking. This week is yet another delicious treat packed full of pecans with a gooey, sweet filling and biscuity type base. These are hands down one of my favourite bakes to date. I’ve had to hold back on scoffing them down all weekend! If I could recommend anyone to give any of my recipes ago, this is definitely one!

Cheese Twists

Easter is over and there is a mountain of chocolate next to me and smaller mountains scattered around the house. After a bank holiday filled with stuffing my face with chocolate and cake, it’s safe to say, enough is enough. Only joking, I could never be put off my love for chocolate but it seemed pretty pointless this week to bake a cake and make the calories pile on even more. Walnut and Maple Streusel Cake

I’m back to the bundt tin! Yes, after the last time I used it I was so satisfied with the results I wanted to give it another go. The complete opposite of my last post, this cake is full of sugar and butter, but, is cake really cake without all the calories? Who cares anyway, a little treat on the weekend never hurt anyone! I also wanted to do something which sort of incorporated my recent holiday in Austria/Germany, so I found a streusel cake! This bake is a delicious mix of maple, cinnamon and nutty crumble. Blueberry and Lemon Bundt

Today was my last day of work before I am on holiday for a week- hooray! I think my excitement and positive energy went into this bake as I’m actually quite proud of myself today. For once the icing wasn’t a complete mess and it turned out sooo much better than I thought. I got to try out my new bundt tin too! This cake is super fruity, spongey and tangy, and so delicious.
