This week I’m braving it and giving myself a challenge. I’ve always wanted to give macarons a go but have also thought to myself that I couldn’t do it. But really, it’s just finding the right recipe which doesn’t get too technical or uses equipment I don’t have. And so…I did it!…just. And if I can do it, anyone can with this simple recipe I found (well as simple as you can get for macarons!) Continue reading “Raspberry and White Chocolate Macarons”
Happy 2018! This has possibly been the longest first week, however, it is nice to get back into a routine and back into my baking Fridays! I have an early finish from work on Friday so that’s my scheduled blogging day. This weekend we have Christmas no.3 at my house as my cousin and aunty weren’t able to make it down on the 25th. This means another dessert had to be made.
I chose this from a book I got from my brother for Christmas by Martha Collison, who was previously on the Bake-off. The book is full of really unique and different recipes and is a little different from the usual baking book. This week I baked Raspberry and Pistachio Friands and Pecan Pie Friands. This week’s post is taking a step back from Christmas- but don’t worry, there’ll be Christmas bakes coming throughout next week. This week I have made Lemon Drizzle by the request of my lovely cousin who I am going up to Manchester to see this weekend. with the blog well and truly kicked off, whenever I have a chance to bake for someone else, especially close family and friends, I do! (it’s also very hard to get away with no baking!) Continue reading “Lemon Drizzle Cake: 5 ingredients!”
It’s December! Christmas is well and truly on its way. This weeks post has come little late as I was getting my Christmas shopping done Friday. But never fear, the bake is here! I thought I would kick start this month with a treat which could easily be a Christmas bake for a naughty breakfast on Christmas Day. To all you Nutella lovers out there, this is for you! Continue reading “Chocolate Hazelnut Buns”
For ages now one of our kitchen cupboards has had a couple of boxes of very pretty looking mini cupcake cases. With not knowing how to do mini cupcakes they have been very pointless purchases. However, the other week I accidentally ordered a box of around 80 by accident on Amazon (thinking they were normal sized). With now at least 100 to my name I thought it was time to work out how and what to do with them. Continue reading “White Chocolate and Raspberry Mini Cupcakes”
